Kemper Profiling Amplifier – Metal

The song is called The Unknown Title song and is from the Feared 2012 album.
Kemper Profile Tweaking – Metal
So here’s a video of me tweaking the Triple Rectifier profile I posted yesterday.
Kemper Profiling Amplifier
So the guys at Kemper was nice enough to let me try their new Profiling Amplifier. Some really interesting stuff indeed. Me and Kent got a chance to do some profiling at the FAL studio, for this time we only used Kents JCM800 Lead 1960 cab loaded with Celestion T75 speakers. We profiled two amps, the Mesa Triple Rectifier and a Laboga Mr Hector. With the cab we used a SM57 and a e906 for microphones.
My initial experience is just WOW. After all the profiling being done, the Kemper perfectly mimics the reference amp, if there is a difference it’s not worth mentioning. And this was just before we started tweaking the profile with the Kemper. Adding the TS Screamer stomp model in the Kemper we got that boosted Recto feeling instantly. And at the amplifier stack you can alter the definition of the amp, tube bias, power sagging and lots more. I especially liked the Clarity knob which ranges from having a brown sound amplifier, to a ultra sparkling glassy boutique amp sound.
Somehow the Kemper also differentiate the cab stack from the amp stack, meaning you can use another profiled cab with the amp you profiled. I don’t know how the Kemper does this BUT it works! The results speaks for itself. I will continue do more videos so be sure to check back often!
Engl Victor Smolski – Metal Featuring Fred Brum
Fred was kind enough to borrow his awesome shredding skills and put them in one of my songs. I’m so happy with how it came out. Fred is a machine!

Pod HD Pro vs. Axe Fx 2 – Metal
Both units were recorded using their USB interface feature. I created the patches from scratch and without the intent to make them sound like each other. For guitars only check the other half of the video.
I’m not interested in favoring any of the brand, that’s for the viewer to decide.
Check the description of the video for the patches.
